A lot of work had been done on the two Rogue Motorsport Toyota GT86 since their last outing at Mallory Park last month – including a total strip-down to change the roll cages which although perfectly fine under MSA regulations, did not pass FIA regs, which the Creventic 24 Hour series adheres to. There had also been changes made to the suspension, with stiffer springs, so I was expecting the car to feel a bit different on our final test day before qualifying.
Co-driver in my car Merrill Readett took the car out first on a damp but drying track then I swapped and got in about 10 laps in between red flags.
Sadly mechanical issues with both cars meant we only ran for the morning session. The Rogue mechanics will work on the cars to make them ready for tomorrow when another of our drivers will do his own testing.
