With my first race at Oulton Park at the end of this month – and having never even been there before – I asked my instructor Malcolm to give me a full days tuition there using a race Boxster from Sean Cooper at Track Focused.

The weather was perfect – around 14C with intermittent sunshine. Having only previously done Silverstone, Snetterton, Bedford and Brands, Oulton’s blind corners, attitude changes, tight chicanes and close Armco (!) was quite a contrast when I took some passenger laps in an historic 964 Cup Car the day before. Nevertheless, Malcolm guided me to a best lap time that I had no idea I could achieve on such a technical and challenging circuit. I am extremely grateful for his help.
